To connect both the TED and the Model 69 Interface box, proceed as follows:
1
Run a pair of field wires from the D-Box to the TED or Interface box.
2
Connect one wire from the D-Box to pin 1 of the TED or Interface box.
3
Connect another wire from the D-Box to pin 2 of the TED or Interface box.
D-Box Board (T20636-G1)
The T20636-G1 D-Box Board provides an interface to the Tokheim Model 67 Box for
connecting dispenser communications. While it has no jumper settings, it has the same LEDs
and test points as the other D-Box Boards. A R20003-G1 Cable provides a connection to a
circular connector on the outside of the D-Box. It is designed to accommodate the barrel
connector included with the Tokheim 67 Box.
Configuring the 67B Box
The Tokheim 67B Interface Box supports both standard RS-422 and a Tokheim proprietary
interface. The PA0338X001 D-Box supports the Tokheim proprietary interface. If a third-party
POS that supports the RS-422 interface is being replaced, the 67B Interface Box must be
reconfigured.
Note: The older Tokheim 67 Box only supports the Tokheim proprietary interface and must not
be configured.
To determine how the Model 67B Interface Box is configured, verify the following:
• In a typical installation, the 67B Interface Box is mounted with the gray POS Cable,
which exits the 67B Box from the top.
• Inside, the POS Cable terminates in one of the following locations:
- When using the Tokheim proprietary interface, the POS Cable will terminate to J6,
which is the left-most connector on the motherboard in the largest compartment in
the 67B box. See
- When using the RS-422 interface, the POS Cable will terminate to J4 on the Power
Supply Board on the right hand side of the compartment at the top of the 67B Box.
