Please note the following “Necessary Actions” following each activity listed in the
table below:

Toner Transport Tube
cleaning (before and after
machine transportation). No further action is
required. The white gear
is in the toner hopper unit. Toner is already inside
the development unit and
toner hopper.
41. Install the development unit in the machine and connect two connectors [A].
42. Attach the drum stay and attach the drum stay knob and one screw.
43. Reinstall the inner cover.
44. Change the paper size for all paper trays to suit the customer’s request.
45. Attach the appropriate paper size decals, which are included as accessories, to
each paper tray.
46. Attach the face-up decal to the ADF.
47. Check copy quality and machine operation.
The first time that the ADF is used, dust on the ADF transport belt will transfer to
the exposure glass. To remove this dust, perform SP6-008-3 (DF Output Check)
for 3 minutes, and then remove the dust on the exposure glass if necessary.
48. Initialize the electrical total counter using SP7-825, if required.
NOTE: For SP2-207-2
Occasionally, SP2-207-2 finishes within about 2 seconds. If this
happens, perform SP2-207-2 again. This mode should normally run for
about 5 minutes.
Reason: The Mylar attached to the agitator in the toner hopper cleans the
surface of the toner hopper sensor. This is done so that the sensor
detects toner in the hopper when SP2-207-2 is initiated, the SP mode
will not be carried out. This is to prevent toner from being mistakenly
supplied. However, when the Mylar is rotated to clean the sensor
surface, the sensor may sometimes detect the Mylar and judge that
there is still toner present. This may occur even if there is no toner in
the hopper.
