Ohmeda Com 1.0

SalTim Com 1.0

Centiva/5 provides capabilities to transfer ventilation parameter, pressure - and

flow waveform, all measured values and alarms to an external data management

system via a serial data protocol.

Centiva/5 provides two protocols on demand to a data management system:

Ohmeda Com 1.1

SalTim™ Com 1.0

Without any request from an external data management on the serial port

Centvia/5 disables the serial data transfer.

With a request from an external data management on the serial port Centvia/5

activates the Ohmeda Com 1.1 protocol as the default.
With a special request for the SalTim protocol from an external data management

on the serial port Centvia/5 activates the SalTim Com 1.0 protocol.

Connect a RS 232 data cable at the rear side of Centiva/5 at the serial data

connection (D-Sub 9 female) with the following Pin constellation:

Pin 2

receive data

Pin 3

transmit data

Pin 5

signal ground

Correct connection is provided with serial cable P/N BE-120116.

Centiva/5 uses the Ohmeda com 1.0 serial protocol (AESTIVA 7900 & 7100

Ventilators) as the default protocol. This allows connecting Centiva/5 to all data

management systems using this protocol.
When connecting to a /5 system use the DIS 7900 Non-Aestiva connection box.

This box provides the correct D-Sub 9 connector to connect to the Centiva/5. Do

not use the DIS 7900 AESTIVA with a D-Sub 15.

Proper communication with the DEIO Clinisoft data management system is tested.

For more details refer to information provided by the data management distributor.

Centiva/5 uses the SalTim 1.0 serial protocol upon request by CED™ software. This

allows connecting Centiva/5 to CED software systems for service and data

management purpose.

Connect the RS 232 data cable at the rear side of Centiva/5 at the serial data

connection (D-Sub 9).
For more details refer to information about CED software provided by TIM GmbH

(www.tim-gmbh.de).
