Chapter 3: Programming
Vigilant VS1 and VS2 Technical Reference Manual
97
Programming the programmable keys
There are two control panel buttons that can be custom
programmed to perform an operation. By default, the buttons are
disabled and nothing happens when you push them. The buttons
can be programmed to control or operate a device, zone, or panel
NAC. For example, you can program a button to disable a panel NAC
when it is pushed. The buttons can be labeled as to their function
with a slip-in label. To operate the buttons, you must be logged on
with a minimum level one password.
Note:
The buttons can be programmed before they are enabled. For
the buttons to operate once they are programmed, they must be
enabled in the panel operation options. Refer to "Panel operation
programming" for more information.
You can program the buttons to:
• Enable/disable or activate/restore panel NACs
• Enable/disable or activate/restore devices
• Enable/disable
zones
