Tensioning of the secondary ( outer ) chain
a) Loosen the nut to the adjustable tensioning idler
for the secondary ( outer ) chain.

b) Use the screw driver to add tension to the
secondary chain.

c) Tighten the nut with the 1 1/8 inch wrench or
socket.
8.9 Lubrication
Bearings should be greased once every six months.
Slide spots should be cleaned and lubricated at the same
time. When greasing the bearings, only shoot one shot of
grease from a grease gun into each grease fitting.

Tools required

• 5/32 allen wrench
·
• High temperature bearing grease
·
• White lithium grease
• Grease gun
a) Open the drive side cabinet with the 5/32 allen
wrench.
b) Use the grease gun to shoot one shot of grease
into the 12 grease points illustrated in Figure
8.9.1 Grease fitting points.
c) Clean the guide slots for the upper main roller and
the upper pull roller with a clean towel and reapply
a light coat of white lithium grease to both sides
of the slides.
