b) Loosen the nut behind the self tensioning ( love-
joy ) idler with a 13 mm wrench.

c) With the 1 1/8 inch socket or wrench, loosen the
adjustable tensioning idler.
d) Use the large screw driver or pry bar to push the
adjustable tensioning idler so that the chain has
about 1/4 inch ( 0.64 cm ) play to each side.

e) Tighten the nut with the 1-1/8 inch socket or
wrench.

shaft as you tighten the nut if
the sh aft begin s to turn..
f) Next, you must reset the self tensioning idler. Use
a 10 inch adjustable wrench on the base and
turn the pivot arm against the chain.
g) Aligning the arrow on the pivot arm to the -15

mark on the base.

h) Once you have the arrow aligned, tighten the bolt
with the 13 mm wrench.

D o n ot over tighten. Y ou m ay
strip the threads of the b olt!
