6. GAZ560, 5601, 5602 ENGINE SPECIAL FEATURES
The monoblock of the engine
is a singlepiece structure of the cylinder
block and the head of the cylinders.
The pumpandinjector units
have mechanical drive and electronic con
trol. Fuelfeed control is effected by microprocessor depending on engine speed,
accelerator pedal position and signals of sensors mounted on the engine.
The engine control system
provides variation of engine power perform
ance depending on a driving condition as well as constant engine diagnostics.
If its systems fail, the fuel supply decreases or cuts off. Engine control diagram
is shown in Fig. 6.1.
When engine is running accelerator pedal position sensor and engine con
dition sensors signals are transmitted into control unit. The information is an
alyzed in the control unit and electromagnet operating the pumpandinjector
unit racks receives the control signal.
