Check the belt tension by the size of the belt sag using spring dynamome
ter. The belt sag «A» between alternator and water pump pulleys when press
ing with 8 daN (8 kgf) force must be 15 mm.
To adjust the belt tension it is necessary to:
— loosen bolt

of the idler pulley;
— using shifting bolt

, set pulley

into the position providing the required
belt tension;
— tighten bolt

— check the belt sag.
