3. Carefully, remove any residues in the vacuum chamber via a soft damp cloth. If
required, clean the vacuum gaskets by dabbing with a soft damp cloth.
4. Wipe the heating bar and sealing bar with a soft cloth, moistened with warm
dishwater.
5. Then dry via a soft dry cloth. Do not rub on the vacuum gaskets, but carefully
dab dry the vacuum gaskets.
6. With the lid left open, let all parts dry naturally for approx. 1/2 hour
out of
reach of young children
.
7. Replace the drip tray. Leave the lid open, when the appliance is not in use.
8. For storage, follow the instructions given in the next section ‘Storage’.
STORAGE
WARNING
– Always unplug the appliance from the mains power supply to
avoid hazards due to overheating, fire, and electricity. For this, do not pull the
power cord but grasp the plug. Power cords may never be knotted, twisted, pul-
led, strained or squeezed.
Before storage, empty the drip tray and clean the appliance (see: ‘Care and Cleaning’).
Ensure to store the appliance and all its parts and accessories (power cord, vacuum
hose) where it is clean, dry and safe from frost, direct sunlight, sharp edges, and
inadmissible strain (e.g. electric or mechanical shock, fall down/over, high tem-
perature, direct sunlight) and where they are
out of reach of young children and
animals
. Do not place any hard or heavy objects on or in the appliance or any
part of it.
Keep the lid open during storage. If required, you may lay a soft fluff-free cloth
folded to a thick roll between the lid and base of the appliance for leaving the lid
slightly open.
