IMPORTANT -
Immediately after sealing, the heating bar will be hot. Avoid tou-
ching the heating bar with your skin or any heat-sensitive object. Before starting
operation again, you should leave the appliance cool down for some seconds.
Do not leave the appliance connected to the power supply when it is not in use.
8. Open the lid and remove the prepared bag. Ensure that the seal is even and
airtight, before filling the bag.
9. After making a break of approx. 20 seconds, you may seal another foil or filled
bag, starting with step 5.
10. If you do not wish to use the appliance once more, hold your finger for approx.
3 seconds on the stop button for switching off the appliance. Then unplug the
appliance from the mains power supply. Do not leave the appliance connected
to the power supply, when it is not in use.
SELECTING THE TYPE OF FOOD
You are selecting the type of food to be vacuum sealed by starting the procedure
via the appropriate function (see below: ‘Vacuum Sealing a Bag’).
• Use the dry food button for food or any other solid objects almost without liquid
or powder.
• Select the moist food button for moist or juicy food and for powders. The moist
food function operates the vacuum pump with reduced power. This will adapt
the evacuating process to the consistency of your food, avoiding that liquids and
powders are sucked out of the bag or container so easily.
NOTE
Adjust the vacuum time accordingly, before starting these functions.
VACUUM SEALING A BAG
Using the dry food function or moist food function, your bags will be evacuated
before sealing. While reducing the pressure, the foil of the bag will get close-fitted
to the items inside the bag.
IMPORTANT -
Ensure to keep the top rim of the bag clean and dry. Particles and
moisture at the area of the seal prevent getting an airtight sealing. If required, you should
determine the optimum sealing time via the seal only function (see: ‘Sealing Foils’).
1. Choose a bag of sufficient size (see also: ‘Sealing Foils’). At least 5-8 cm (2-3
inches) of free space must be left between the contents and the top of the bag.
