Check that the bag is airtight, before filling it. While inserting the items to be
sealed into the bag, ensure that the top of the bag will be left dry and clean.
2. Place the appliance onto a suitable surface and first connect the small plug of
the power cord to the power socket of the appliance, then connect the power
plug to an appropriate wall power outlet.
3. Open the lid. Before starting a vacuum sealing session, ensure that the vacuum
chamber and drip tray are completely empty (see: ‘Emptying the Drip Tray’).
4. Ensuring that the foil of the bag is spread out smooth and without folds and
gaps, push the upper rim of the bag onto the heating bar and vacuum gasket.
It is crucial that the rim of the bag is positioned completely in the drip tray.
5. Close the lid. The bag should be clamped between lid and base of the appliance.
6. Touch the stop button for switching on the appliance. The defaults of the sealing
time and vacuum time are shown on the display areas.
7. If required, adjust the sealing time (left display area) and/or the vacuum time
(right display area). For this, touch the arrow buttons ▲ or ▲ at the right side of
the appropriate display area.
8. For bags filled with dry food or solid items, touch the dry food button .
9. For bags filled with moist food or powder, touch the moist food button . When using
this function, liquids and powders will not be sucked out of the bag so easily.
When a function is selected, the vacuum pump starts operation, sucking the air out
of the bag. The vacuum time is counted down to zero. Immediately thereafter, the
bag is sealed and the sealing time is counted down.
IMPORTANT -
While the vacuum pump is working, you may stop evacuation and
start sealing at any time by touching the seal only button . Use this feature to pro-
tect the contents of the bag, if it is going to get mashed by low pressure.
When
any liquid or powder starts getting sucked into the vacuum pump, immedia-
tely press the stop button, for terminating the entire process.
The bag will not
be sealed. In most cases it is useless, attempting to seal the bag, when liquid or
powder has been sucked into the area of the seal, because liquids and powder
within the sealing area would prevent any airtight sealing.
IMPORTANT -
After the sealing process is finished, the heating bar may be hot.
Avoid touching the heating bar with your skin or any heat-sensitive object. Leave
the appliance cool down for approx. 20 seconds after each sealing process.
10. Wait until the recently used sealing time and vacuum time are shown on the dis-
