3.0 RULES OF USE
To obtain the best performance from the equipment, carefully
follow what is set out below.
ATTENTION
The following maintenance, adjustment, and work preparation
operations must be performed with the tractor off and locked
firmly in position with the key removed from the dashboard
and the seeder positioned on the ground.
3.1 EQUIPMENT APPLICATION
The seeder can be connected to MASCHIO DC e DM harrows.
This connection needs some preventive assistance and tests
on every single part of the equipment.
3.1.1 SEEDER ARRANGEMENT
Position of the bar of seeds:
-
roller Ø 500 = position A (Fig. 6);
- roller Ø 600 = position B (Fig. 6).
3.1.2 EQUIPMENT ARRANGEMENT
Before connecting the seeder to the equipment, it is necessary
to arrange the latter for the hooking.
- Assemble the two seeder-supports (C, Fig. 7) on the hind roller
side panel of the rotating harrow, as showed in Fig. 7.
- Remove the locking pins of the roller (F, Fig. 8), and replace
them in position (G). With connected equipments, this operation
allows to grant a parallelism of movement between the
equipment and the seeder during the work phases.
- In correspondence of supports (I, Fig. 9), to mount slabs of
support (E) like indicated in Figure 7. To make attention the
correct assembly of the slab:
- roller Ø 500 = position A (Fig. 7);
- roller Ø 600 = position B (Fig. 7).
3.1.3 SEEDER HOOKING TO THE EQUIPMENT
DANGER
Hooking up the seeder to the equipment is a very dangerous
phase. Be very careful in following the instructions for the
whole operation.
The operation must be carried out on a horizontal plane, with the
seeder resting on its parking feet.
1) Hook the rotating harrow to the tractor according to the
directions of the manifacturer firm.
2) Replace the snap pins and release the safety pins (D, Fig. 7).
3) With the tractor come closer the seeder and, by operating on
the lifter, hook the equipment in the suitable points (H, Fig. 9).
