4.6 Connecting the Junction Box Harness in the Magnet Room
1. Position one end of the Junction Box Harness next to the junction box in the magnet room.
a. Secure the safety cable at the end of the gas line to the safety cable ring on the
junction box.
b. Remove the protective covers from the Junction Box Harness connectors and junction box
sockets.
c. Connect the gas connection hub on the Junction Box Harness to the gas connection socket
on the junction box (Figure 4‑3). To make the connection, align the ridge (callout 3) and red
unlocked position marker (callout 2) on the gas connection hub with the alignment mark
(callout 1) above the gas connection socket, push in the gas connection hub, and turn the gas
connection hub counterclockwise to the locked position (callout 4). A clicking sound indicates
a successful connection.
d. Connect the fiber optic connector on the Junction Box Harness to the fiber optic socket on the
junction box (Figure 4‑4). To make the connection, align the alignment mark (callout 1) above
the fiber optic socket with the red alignment dot (callout 2) on the fiber optic connector and
push in the connector. A clicking sound indicates a successful connection.
NOTE: To verify the fiber optic connector is secure, pull on the check connection area identified
by Figure 4‑4, callout 3. If the fiber optic line is securely connected, the cable will not disconnect.
e. Connect the electrical connector on the Junction Box Harness to the electrical socket on the
junction box (Figure 4‑5). To make the connection, align the alignment mark (callout 1) on the
electrical socket with the red alignment dot (callout 2) on the electrical connector and push in
the connector. A clicking sound indicates a successful connection.
NOTE: To verify the electrical connector is secure, pull on the gray check connection area
identified by Figure 4‑5, callout 3. If the electrical line is securely connected, the cable will not
disconnect.
2. Position the opposite end of the Junction Box Harness next to the Mobile Connection Panel.
a.
Secure the safety cable at the end of the gas line to the safety cable ring on the Mobile
Connection Panel.
b. Remove the protective covers from the Junction Box Harness connectors and the sockets on
the Mobile Connection Panel.
c. Connect the gas connection hub on the Junction Box Harness to the gas connection socket
on the Mobile Connection Panel (Figure 4‑3). To make the connection, align the ridge (callout
3) and red unlocked position marker (callout 2) on the gas connection hub with the alignment
mark (callout 1) above the gas connection socket, push in the gas connection hub, and turn
the gas connection hub counterclockwise to the locked position (callout 4). A clicking sound
indicates a successful connection.
d. Connect the fiber optic connector on the Junction Box Harness to the fiber optic socket on
the Mobile Connection Panel (Figure 4‑4). To make the connection, align the alignment mark
(callout 1) above the fiber optic socket with the red alignment dot (callout 2) on the fiber optic
connector and push in the connector. A clicking sound indicates a successful connection.
NOTE:
