Apply Dynamic Emergency Brake
–
The dynamic emergency braking can be
realized by pulling up the EPB system button
continuously in the direction of -ARROW- in
the driving process. If the accelerator pedal
is depressed in emergency braking process,
the system will exit from the braking. If the
emergency braking is not caused by driver
operation, please depress the accelerator
pedal repeatedly to exit from the braking.
Hint
Switch the start switch to “ON” position.
The corresponding indicator light
in the
instrument cluster will be illuminated in red
when the EPB is applied. The red light
will be off when the EPB is removed. In case
of any of the following phenomena, please
re-apply and re-remove the EPB. If the fault
is still not eliminated, please contact the
GAC Motor Dealer for maintenance.

If the indicator light flashes in red
continuously, it indicates that the EPB
is in partial combination/removal state
or there is a fault in the system.
●
If the indicator light is illuminated in the
absence of the EPB, the system is
abnormal.
●
If the indicator light
is illuminated in
yellow, it indicates that a fault is
detected in the EPB system and the
electric parking efficiency decreases.
Caution
●
Do not apply the dynamic emergency
braking when unnecessary, because
the parking brake only exerts power on
the rear wheels, which can easily cause
traffic accidents. The braking distance
is longer than that of brake pedal, and
it can shorten the service life of the
parking brake system.
●
When the vehicle is in driving process,
the EPB switch will be pulled up, the
buzzer will alarm and the instrument
cluster display will prompt the
“Release the EPB switch”.
●
In the process of dynamic emergency
braking, the removing state can be
recovered for parking brake by
releasing the EPB and depressing the
accelerator pedal. If the EPB system is
continuously pulled up until the vehicle
is stopped, the parking brake will
remain in combination state.
