•

A/D control status registers (ADCS)

These registers perform the following operations: start A/D conversion by using software, select start
trigger, select conversion mode, select channel subjected to A/D conversion, enable/disable interrupt
request, check state of interrupt request, and display states during suspension and conversion.

•

A/D data registers (ADCR)

These registers store the results of A/D conversion and also select the A/D conversion resolution.

•

Decoder

This decoder selects the analog input pin to be used, based on the setting of the ANE0 to ANE2 bits and
the ANS0 to ANS2 bits of the A/D control status register (ADCS).

•

Analog channel selector

This selector selects the pin to be used from eight analog input pins.

•

Sample hold circuit

This circuit holds the input voltage selected by the analog channel selector. By sample-holding the voltage
input immediately after A/D conversion is started, A/D conversion is performed without being affected by
the fluctuation of the voltage input during A/D conversion (during voltage comparison).

•

D/A converter

This converter generates the reference voltage with which the sample-held input voltage is compared.

•

Comparator

This comparator compares the sample-held input voltage with the D/A converter output voltage.

•

Controller

This controller determines the A/D converted value based on the signal sent from the comparator. When
A/D conversion is completed, the controller stores the conversion results in the A/D data registers (ADCR)
and issues the interrupt request.
