3.7 Air connections
profi-air flex connection set (ISO pipe or spiral duct)
The profi-air flex connection set consists of four double nipples DN 160 incl. lip seal.
These double nipples provide the connection between the ventilation unit connect-
ing piece (fresh, exhaust, extract and supply air connection) and the pipe system
selected (profi-air ISO pipe or spiral duct). The lip seal guarantees airtight connec-
tions to the pipe system.
You can alternatively connect the supply air connector at the bottom of the unit.
In this case, however, you must observe which operating mode (A / B) has been
selected since this cannot be reversed. If you want to use the alternative cable
routing, you will have to cut open the EPS core along the cutting edge. The redun-
dant supply air opening must be sealed on site using a spiral duct cover with lip seal
DN 160.
Installation and connection
When using spiral ducts, condensation inside as well as outside the pipe
must be prevented by means of appropriate insulation.
