Chapter 4: Maintenance

Clean the Vacuum Interface Cones

CyTOF XT User Guide

Add the top adapter.

Place the skimmer-reducer assembly on the top adapter with the screws facing up.

Sonicate cones in 10% Citranox. Do not soak for longer than 15 min.

Pour off the Citranox and rinse the cones, adapters, and container with DIW. Then stack
cones as follows:

IMPORTANT

Add DIW as each part is placed in the container to ensure that all parts

contact the DIW.

Stack the bottom adapter first.

Place the sampler cone face down on the bottom adapter.

Add the top adapter.
