Acquisition of Pelleted Samples 

The Autosampler can resuspend pelleted samples with Maxpar CAS Plus and add EQ beads 
prior to acquisition. You can specify a dilution volume between 150 and 4,000 µL. The 
recommended final concentration is no greater than 1 million cells/mL. 

IMPORTANT

 

We recommend keeping the samples as pellets to avoid having samples in 

suspension for extended periods of time. Only 5 mL tubes should be used for pelleted 
samples. Pelleted samples in 15 mL skirted conical tubes are not part of the recommended 
workflow. 

Acquisition of Suspension Samples 

You can choose to manually resuspend samples with Maxpar CAS Plus and EQ beads prior 
to acquisition and place pre-diluted cells in the carousel. The recommended final 
concentration is no greater than 1 million cells/mL. Samples should not be kept in 
suspension for any longer than 4 hr prior to starting acquisition of that sample. Batch 
acquisitions should be set up such that suspension samples are acquired first. 

Large suspension samples can be acquired from 15 mL skirted conical tubes. When running 
a 15 mL tube as part of a batch, it should be the first sample to be acquired.
