Operation From Outside
To lock the passenger door with the door lock
knob from the outside, push the door lock
knob to the lock position and close the door
(holding the door handle in the open position
is not required).
NOTE:
When locking the door this way, be careful
not to leave the key fob inside the vehicle.
The driver's door lock knob cannot be used
while the driver's door is open.
Central Lock/Unlock
The doors, trunk lid, and fuel door lock auto
-
matically when the lock rocker switch is
pushed with both doors closed. Both unlock
when the unlock rocker switch is pushed.
NOTE:
The doors, trunk lid, and the fuel filler
door cannot be locked while any other door
is open.
The key fob may not be able to be detected
by the vehicle keyless-go system if it is
located next to a mobile phone, laptop or
other electronic device; these devices may
block the key fob’s wireless signal and
prevent the keyless-go system from
starting the vehicle.
Central/Power Door Lock Switch
WARNING!
For personal security and safety in the
event of a collision, lock the vehicle
doors before you drive as well as when
you park and leave the vehicle.
When leaving the vehicle, always remove
the key fob from the vehicle and lock
your vehicle. If equipped with Advanced
Keyless Entry, always make sure the
keyless ignition is in OFF position,
remove the key fob from the vehicle and
lock the vehicle. Unsupervised use of
vehicle equipment may cause severe
personal injuries or death.
Never leave children alone in a vehicle,
or with access to an unlocked vehicle.
Allowing children to be in a vehicle unat
-
tended is dangerous for a number of
reasons. A child or others could be seri
-
ously or fatally injured. Children should
be warned not to touch the parking
brake, brake pedal or the gear selector.
Do not leave the key fob in or near the
vehicle, or in a location accessible to
children, and do not leave the ignition of
a vehicle equipped with Advanced
Keyless Entry in the ACC or ON/RUN
positions. A child could operate power
windows, other controls, or move the
vehicle.
