TROUBLESHOOTING

Hydraulic Manifold Only

Problem

Possible Cause

Possible Solution

Hydraulic cylinder neither

extends nor retracts

Hoses or fittings are loose or

disconnected

Tighten hoses and fittings

Restriction in hoses

Remove bends in hoses, Remove

obstructions in hoses

Cylinders are fighting each

others movements

Hoses may be installed

improperly

Re-install hoses correctly

While one cylinder moves the

other cylinder also moves

Orifice plug in manifold is

missing

Obtain replacement

Relief is set too low

Loosen jam nut and turn set screw

in until it stops, then turn back out

6 turns

One side moves and the other

does not

Restriction in hoses

Remove bends in hoses, Remove

obstructions in hoses

Cylinders extend but do not

retract

Hoses may be installed

improperly

Re-install hoses correctly

Manifold has malfunctioned

and is stuck between

functions

Toggle electrical control switch
Turn off prime mover, relieve

hydraulic pressure and then restart
Check fuse on electrical harness

One cylinder moves and the

other does not

Electrical harness not

connected

Check harness and connect

Switch has not been

activated

Toggle switch to control other side

Fuse has been damaged

Replace fuse

Restriction in hoses

Remove bends in hoses, Remove

obstructions in hoses

Cylinders extend but do not

retract

Hoses may be installed

improperly

Re-install hoses correctly
