Using the machine
7.1
Attachment to the tractor
Carry out the action steps in the follow-
ing order:
1. Start-up
2. Coupling the machine
3. Mount transmission shaft
4. Connect the hydraulics
5. Connect the lighting
6. Connect the ISOBUS
7. Connect the air pressure brake
8. Releasing the parking brake
WARNING
Risk of injury as a result of crushing or
shearing
Coupling, raising or lowering the
lower links may result in injury to
anyone remaining within the
area around the lower link rods.
Do not step between the tractor and the
machine when you are raising and low-
ering the lower links.
Ensure that there is no-one between
the tractor and the machine.
CAUTION
Risk of injury as a result of insecure
fastening of the machine to the tractor
If the standardized three-point categories
for the tractor and machine do not match,
this may result in personal injury.
Make sure that the standardized cate-
gories match when attaching the ma-
chine to the tractor.
Check that the securing elements on
the hitch are in good condition.
7.1.1 Start-up
Check the maintenance intervals (see
Section 10.1 Maintenance intervals) to
see when maintenance work is due and
perform this work correctly.
Check that the transmission shaft is fit-
ted and operating correctly and that all
safety guards are in place.
Check the machine for damage. Rectify
any damage.
7.1.2 Coupling the machine
As standard, the rotary rake is equipped for
a category II lower link hitch.
Position the control device on the trac-
tor in such a way that excludes the pos-
sibility of accidental raising and lower-
ing.
Set the left and right tractor lower links
to the same height.
Minimize the lateral movement of the
tractor lower links.
Lock to prevent unauthorized use
Unlock the lock and remove it from the
lower link pins.
Place the lower link balls on the lower
link pins.
With the lower links lowered, reverse
the tractor towards the machine.
Raise the lower links until the lower link
balls lie in the catch hooks.
Check the lower link retainers and en-
gage them manually, if necessary.
Raise the lower links until the weight is
taken off the support leg.
