C.5. Automatic Cover Mechanism Adjustments 

 

C.5.1. Cover Opening Angle Adjustment 

 

It may be necessary to increase the opening angles of 
the box covers when seed/fertilizer will be filled in your 
grain drill via a heavy machine or a bigbag sack will be 
used. 

 

This is done by following the procedure steps below: 

 

1. Step: 

Remove the strip formed cover towing bars, 

holding the box cover, from the junction with the box. 

 

2. 

Step

: 

The piston connecting sheet has 5 adjustment 

slots. Gas pistons are connected to the slot in the middle 
as default and you can adjust the opening angle of the 
box cover by changing this junction point. 

 

When the m8 spherical head bolt of the gas piston; 

 

is connected to the bottom slots, the opening angle of the 

cover increases, and decreases when connected to the 

upper slots. 

 

3. 

Step

: 

After changing the position adjustment of the 

gas pistons, adjust the cover towing bar according to the 
new opening adjustment of the cover. 

 

NOTE: 

Do not leave the load of the cover in opening 

position on the gas pistons. The towing bar must 
provide cover closure as well as angle limiting 
functionalities and this function must only be performed 
over the cover tow bar. Otherwise, the gaps on the 
piston connections cause the cover to swing after 
opening and damage the connection points in time. 

 

Therefore, the cover towing bar must be adjusted so as 
not to allow the gas pistons to be opened completely and 
to ensure the cover to stop before reaching the maximum 
opening position.
