32. When driving down a steep slope, the engine brake at an appropriate gear must be
used and the slope must never be climbed down by using the clutch and/or by shifting
the gear to neutral.
33. The traffic signs and rules must be observed when driving in the highway traffic.
34. The negative (-) pole of the battery must be removed when the tractor is to be
operated on an electrical system.
35. When climbing on or off a hill (with suspended equipment), the hydraulic arms must
be lowered to an appropriate level and hence the load exerted on the rear and front
wheels must be compensated.
36. When hydraulic equipment fitted on the tractor is lifted,
“never” work under it
.
37. Feet must not be put over the brake and clutch when working with tractor.
38. Tractor must not be used when feeling sad, nervous, very stressful and tired.
39. When working on inclined fields, shifting must not be done unless the climbing is
over and the necessary power and gear suitable for the speed must be selected “
before
starting climbing
”. Avoid braking suddenly as possible as you can during climbing.
40. Tractor must be parked by bringing to a position perpendicular to the slope and the
parking brake must be pulled. The tractor stopped after parking must be left in the lowest
reverse gear in downward slopes and in the highest forward gear in upward slopes
depending on the moving direction.
41. In order to avoid tossing, moving speed must be decreased before applying turning
and single brake.
42. Tractor must be operated at an intended speed ( one fold increase in tractor
speed increases the accident probability by four folds ).
43. Pull-type agricultural equipment and machines must be coupled to the drawbar
assembly of the tractor with a tow bar and tow pin. Connectors such as rope chain and
pins at an inappropriate thickness and length must not be used for coupling.
44. Agricultural tools, machines and equipment must be easily coupled to tractor, and
the movement of the power take-off must be stopped with the relevant control device
and necessary time must be given for the rotation to stop before disengaging the
agricultural tool and machine from tractor.
45. In cases that semi-mounted type agricultural tools and machines are towed via tow
bar, connection rods and limiters (stabilizer chains) belonging to the three-point
suspension arrangement must be tightened appropriately.
46. The tractor coupled with agricultural tool and machine from the behind must not be
stopped suddenly.
