TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE RECOMMENDED ACTIONS
Motor stops while
cutting
Chain pinched in cut Undercut limb to relieve pressure on limb.
Overheating of control
system
Let the control system cool down
Motor does not run or
runs intermittently
Battery discharged Charge the battery
Safety button not pressed
Press the safety button before squeezing the trigger
switch
Battery pack not fully inserted
Press the battery pack into the battery port until it clicks
into place
Battery contacts dirty
Remove the battery pack, remove debris from the battery
port, and then clean the contacts with a clean, dry cloth
Battery pack cold
Allow the battery pack to warm to the minimum operating
temperature of 0°C.
Overheating of motor Let the motor cool down
Debris in side cover
Remove battery pack, then remove side cover and clean
out debris
Defective power switch Contact authorized service center
Chain brake does not
engage
Debris preventing full movement
of front hand guard
Clean debris from external chain brake mechanism.
Possible chain brake malfunction

Insufficient chain tension Tension the chain
Dull chain Sharpen the chain
Chain installed backwards Install the chain with the teeth facing the correct direction

Dry or excessively stretched chain Check the oil level. Refill oil reservoir if necessary
Chain not in bar groove Reset chain onto groove
Low cut time per bat-
tery charge
Dull chain
Replace the chain
Worn chain
Dry chain Check the oil level. Refill oil reservoir if necessary
Over tensioned chain Tension the chain
