For preliminary freezing, set the sample amount to
about 1/3 or less of the container and allow it
to freeze evenly in a form of film over the
container inner wall. Then, clear drying can be
achieved with satisfactory evaporation efficiency.
Accordingly, set the container in an inclined
state using the container rotating device,
PFM-1000.

freezing, PFM-1000 (optional).

Use of the timer
The timer display changes between Mode1/Mode2 each
time the “[Disp(

)]” key of Timer on the control panel
is pressed.
Mode1
：
The vacuum pump operation time is
automatically measured and displayed. This
mode proves convenient when used for
determination of the oil change timing of
vacuum pump.
Mode2
：
The stopwatch function, which can be turned
ON/OFF with the RUN/STOP key of the
timer. This proves convenient when used for
measurement of the sublimation time. To turn
OFF the function, keep pressing the Run/Stop
key for three seconds or more.
