2)Installing the drip box of the egg-plant shaped flask

This is an additional option for use when the
adapter for egg-plant shaped flask is
assembled to the cock adapter of manifold.
Carry assembling before “(1) Assembling of
manifold.”
Tighten set screws lightly.

Turn the holding
plate upside down
and set the set
screw to the notch.

Depending on the position at which the drip
box for flask is screwed, the holding plate may
not be assembled in the direction of the figure.
Use the plate by turning upside down.
When using PMS-4A, pay attention to the
position of set screw.

(2) Secure the drip box of egg-plant shaped flask
with two set screws at threaded points (two
diagonal points on the inside) of option fixing
plate. (See the figure right.)

Set screws can be set in any diagonal direction
The manifold may be hard to be installed. In
such an event, see the position shown in the
figure right.

The drip box of egg-plant shaped flask can be
assembled by turning the installation direction
by 90
°
. Adjust the direction beforehand
according to the direction of manifold.
(1) Remove all of set screws temporarily on top of
the option fixing plate.

Keep removed set screws with care to prevent
missing.
(3) Secure the manifold to the threaded points (two
diagonal positions on the inside) of option fixing
plate with two set screws. (See the figure right
below.)

For securing of the manifold, refer to “5-1.3.1
Installing the manifold” of the operation manual
of Model FDS-1000.

Any drips accumulated in the drip box should be
wiped off with soft cloth.
