
Three multicast address schemes are available.

— This setting assumes that VN-Matrix devices on the system use
Class C (255.255.255.0) subnet addresses. This is the default setting (see

— This is specific to systems that have special addressing schemes.
This scheme is not suitable for use on standard system configurations and should
not be used.

octet‑1‑3
— This scheme is specific to systems that have special addressing
schemes. This scheme is not suitable for use on standard system configurations

octet‑6‑3
— This scheme is specific to systems that have special addressing
schemes. This scheme is not suitable for use on standard system configurations
and should not be used.
Select the
default
multicast address scheme and click

Clean Switch (VN‑Matrix 2xx only)
— The clean switch feature (see
page 28) allows glitch free transitions when switching between decoded streams.
Select the check box to activate the clean switch option or deselect to deactivate the
clean switch option. Click

activated on the decoder
when using
clean switch.

VN-Matrix 300 / 325 devices do not support clean switch and ignore this
setting.

Secure Mode
— This feature (see
) allows the EC 200 to run in a secure
mode. When selected, the Web UI can only be contacted using HTTPS. The HLI server
can only be contacted using SSH.

Click the checkbox to activate the secure switch option. If it is checked, click it to
uncheck (deactivate).

Controllers
— This field (see
) adds the IP addresses of all singleton and
service (cluster) controllers. This field is used to keep the VNM EC 200 that is logged
into aware of the devices it is controlling and the devices that are managed by the other
controllers in the system. The field also allows streaming between devices managed by
other controllers, as well as editing configuration options of devices connected to other
controllers.
NOTE:
If only one controller is used in the VN-Matrix system, the IP address of the
controller still needs to be added to this field. If the IP address is not added, the
Devices
Adding and removing controllers from this field is similar to adding and removing
controllers on the
Time
page (see
Removing controllers from the Sources list
on page 25 for information on how to add and remove controllers.
