Updating the Firmware of a Single EC 200
Before starting, go to www.extron.com/download and download the latest VNM EC 200
firmware. Then use the following procedure to update the firmware of a single VNM EC 200.
1. Click the Configuration tab (see figure 172,

).
The Configuration page opens.

2. Click the
Upgrade
link (

).
3. Click Browse (

) to open a file browser.
4. Navigate to the location of the firmware file, select the file and click Open .
5. Click Upgrade (

) to start the firmware update.
6. When the update completes, power down the VNM EC 200 and restart.
Updating the Firmware of Dual (Redundant) EC 200s
ATTENTION:
• The firmware update process for dual controllers deletes device configuration and presets files stored
in the cluster folders. If you want to return the controllers to their pre-update configuration, those files
must be temporarily saved to a secure location on a local PC before updating the firmware. After the
update, the files must be restored.

configuration des contrôleurs avant leur mise à jour, ces fichiers doivent être temporairement

The firmware update for dual controllers requires the following steps:
1. Save the device configuration and presets files to a local PC (see Backup the Device
and Preset Configuration on page 185).
2. Unpair the controller cluster (see Unpair the Controller Cluster on page 186).
3. Update the redundant secondary controller (see Update the Redundant Secondary
Controller on page 187).
4. Update the primary controller (see Update the Primary Controller on page 187).

Pair the Controllers
on page 188).
6. Restore the device configuration and presets files from the local PC (see Backup the
Device and Preset Configuration on page 185).
