VNS 104 Misc Menu
The miscellaneous menu ( Misc ) (see figure 67 on page 86) provides the following
selections:

Delete Device: – Deletes the VNS 104 device from the EC 200 Devices list.
NOTES:
• Be certain the appropriate devices are selected when using this menu option.
The selected devices are deleted right away; no notification or warning dialog
box appears when the option is selected.
• A device can only be deleted when it is offline. Active devices cannot be
removed from the device list.

Send HLI command: – Sends an HLI command to the selected device.

VNS 104 OSD ID Editor – Customize the format and placement of the display text
entered in the configuration menu (see Configure Menu on page 88).

The OSD ID editor provides the following:

Foreground Color: – Sets text color from a list of 11 colors and shades (or
transparent).

Background Color: – Sets background color from a list of 11 colors and shades
(or transparent).

Font – Sets the font and font size from a drop-down list.
4
Justify:
– Sets the position of the text window from a list of nine locations.
5
Show Time: – Sets the time (in seconds) that text remains on-screen.

leaves the
text onscreen permanently.
NOTE: These settings are applied globally to all VNS 104 decode windows.
