Long Term Storage

More than 4 weeks storage of a

Spindle

or a

HPMU

requires:

Turn the

Spindle

rotor by hand every 4 weeks

to reallocate the bearing lubricant.

The

Spindle

must be stored horizontally.

Remove sharp bit and close the chuck on a

dummy bit.

Consider having a Replacement Spindle

HPMU

is used in regular production, it is

recommended to have a

Replacement Spindle

The service interval will depend on the type of

operation, and is dicult to predict.
Indication of worn bearings may be increasing

noise, increasing vibrations or decreasing surface

ﬁnish.

Note:

When replacing a

Spindle

, torque the motor

clamp to 5 Nm, 44 lbf-in using a

Torque Wrench

This is a low torque for that screw size.

Also check by hand that the

Spindle

rotates

smooth without any resistance.

Empty Vacuum Cleaner in time

Do not leave the machine running if the

Vacuum Cleaner

can be over-ﬁlled. This might

cause damage, or in worst case a ﬁre due to

the hot milling bit in contact with debris in the

suction system.

Be aware the risk of

suction house

and suction

tube clogging.
