Replacement of Fan Module
To replace the fan module (SPARE-508):
1. Remove the two fan plugs at the top of the carrier board. See

in the Figure 46 inset. If necessary,
loosen the power module cage cover at
B
to allow access to the plugs.
2. Using a #2 Phillips screwdriver, remove the two screws securing the fan module. See

in Figure 46 .
3. Slide the fan module out of its slot in the direction indicated by
D
in Figure 46. Note that the module will
have to slide under the transformer cables

, which have not been removed.

4. Replace the fan module. Perform all previous steps in reverse order. See Figure 46.

Insert the fan module by passing it under the transformer cables
