3. Enter this command to remove the previously installed lp6fc device driver.
pkgrm lp6fc
4. Reboot the system.
Upgrade firmware
Prerequisites:

DOS 6.x or higher (program may not run in the DOS shell under Windows on all
systems.
l
DOS diagnostic utility -
Download version 8.4
l
Firmware image file - Download latest versions from the Emulex ftp server at
ftp.emulex.com/pub/fibre
l
No memory manager programs like Expanded Memory Manager (EMM386) currently
running.
Upgrade procedure
1. Boot up computer in DOS.
2. Enter this command to start the lp6dutil program.
c:\>lp6dutil
The main menu appears.
3. Type 5 to select Maintenance.
4. Type 1 to select Upgrade Firmware.
5. Enter Firmware Image file name including path.
6. Type 1 to proceed with the upgrade.
7. Type 1 when prompted to reboot the host adapter.
8. Type 0 until the Main menu reappears.
9. Type 7 to Quit.
