4.4.6.4. Problems that might arise in the printer operation when a bottle of ink
is replaced
Flow diagram for the ink monitoring system
The block diagram given below shows the operation of the Ink Monitoring System, errors that
may occur and a user’s actions to be taken after the errors have occurred.
The following message is displayed after the bottle has been emptied:
INK:
EMPTY BOTTLE
Disconnect and remove the empty bottle, replace it with a brand new unsealed one,
but do not link it to the ink system.
The message:
BOTTLE VERIFYING:
WAIT 10 SECONDS PLEASE

BOTTLE ACCEPTED
The message:
BOTTLE TOO OLD
The message:
BOTTLE ALREADY CANCELLED
The message:
WRONG BOTTLE
The message:
WRONG BASE LIQUID or SUBTYPE

PIGMENTED/NOMPIGM MISMATCHED
The message:
BOT. FOR OTHER PRNTER TYPE
The message:
WRONG COLOUR
Press the

Remove the bottle, tie it in with the ink system and replace it.
NOTE:
IIf an alarm is heard and the message:
NO BOTTLE
iis displayed after the bottle has been removed, clear the message and
sound alarm with the
V
key
The bottle has already been
recorded in this or other printer.
Place a new bottle of the proper ink
(solvent) type. Clear the message by
pressing the
V
Improper ink (solvent) type
In 10 seconds at
the latest
