teeth down, fitting gear splines on those of
washer.

teeth up, and against 1st speed gear.

Remove the long key from keyway in main-

shaft.

Install 2nd speed gear splined washer on main-

shaft and into hub of 2nd speed gear.

15. Install long key in keyway in mainshaft to lock

washer to shaft.
