5. Press drive gear on shaft, long hub to the rear.

C. To Mark Timing Teeth and Position

Countershaft Assemblies.

6. Install snap ring in groove at front of shaft.

On the drive gear of each countershaft mark the
gear tooth which is aligned with the keyway in
shaft. This tooth will be stamped with an "O".

Place the left countershaft into position in case
- install bearings as shown in illustrations 4, 5,

6 and 7.

Place the right countershaft into position in

case--do not install bearings.
