2.8.8 STO function checklist

A drive’s STO function should always be checked before initial commission-
ing, after maintenance, and at regular maintenance intervals.

This check should include the following tests:

Activity

Note

The STO inputs are de-energized.
With motor standstill and a stop command on the
RASP5 variable frequency drives,

InHibit

displayed (locked state).
The

STO LED

is off.

The STO inputs are voltage-free and the RASP5 speed
controller receives a start command.

The

STO LED

is off.

The STO inputs are supplied with 24 V DC and the
RASP5 speed controller receives a start command.
The

STO LED

lights up green.

The motor starts normally and is controlled by the
RASP5.

The motor is running while being controlled by the
RASP5and an STO input is de-energized.

InHibit

The

STO LED

is off.
