NOTE:
• Thoroughly clean casings and any previous signs of sealants or adhesives on their contact surfaces,
as well as any residue of thread locker on threaded holes and bolts.
• See instructions for proper sealant application in the topic “Tightening Torques and Sealants” in this
manual.
2. If it has not already been installed, install the 5th speed
gear synchronizer cone on the input shaft gear, with the
cone side facing up.
3. Position the mainshaft over the input shaft and fit the
“pocket” bearing into its housing. Make sure that the
mainshaft is properly fitted and check if the synchronizer
sleeve shifts into the 5th gear without any difficulty.
4. Position the countershaft on the device with the front
bearing end facing down and fit the countershaft bearing
into its housing on the device, ensuring that all gears
mesh properly on both shafts.
1. With the special base EEA-17505 on the workbench,
position the input shaft on the device with the front
bearing end facing down and fit the input shaft bearing
into the proper housing on the device.
