21. Install the three keys and the 1st and 2nd speed

synchronizer sleeve on the synchronizer hub.

NOTE

: Align the detent grooves for the keys on the

sleeve to the key slots on the hub.

22. Install the 2nd speed synchronizer ring (tricone) outer

ring, with the teeth side facing up, matching the ridges

on the ring to the slots on the hub.

23. Install the 2nd speed synchronizer ring (tricone) middle

ring, with the tabs on the ring facing up.

24. Install the 2nd speed synchronizer ring (tricone) inner

ring, with the tabs on the ring facing down.

25. Rotate the ring until the tabs snap onto the elongated

holes in the hub.
