Warning
If the engine is shut off before proceeding with adjustment of the CO level, wait three minutes after restarting for the enrichment
phase to finish and for the lambda sensors to start working.
If the ifle speed is high and cannot be corrected by adjusting the air bypass screws, check the seals under the throttle body,
in particular check for cracks or other damage in the intake manifolds and thelatter are fimrly fixed to the engine, cuts in the
pressure sensor pipes, etc.
Warning
Idle speed adjustment takes priority over balancing the vacuum pressures downstream of the butterfly valve. Differences in
pressure between the horizontal and vertical cylinder are therefore acceptable, provided that the idle speed is adjusted correctly.
- If you are unable to reach the desired idle speed setting, try reducing the vacuum differential downstream of the butterfly valve
as described in the following paragraph “Throttle body balancing”;
- repeat the entire idle speed adjustment procedure.
Choke adjustment
By turning adjuster screw (22) of the choke control cable, adjust the choke lever (23) so that the small lever (24) moves through
its full travel. Check that the lever (24) moves the full distance between the two stops when the choke lever (23) is operated and
released. Check that the choke lever remains in the same position when the handlbars are turned through their full travel.
