Seal frame (Figs. 1, 10 and 13)
The seal frame assembly is a rectangular structure of sheet steel which is flanged
for rigidity and incorporates a slotted steel pressing into which the filter elements
are inserted and secured by clamps.
An earthing post is fitted to collectors with antistatic filter elements for connection
to earth (see Fig. 1).
Jet tubes (Figs. 1, 10 and 13)
Positioned in the cleanside of the collector is a series of full-length jet tubes
having small-diameter jet orifices located adjacent to the outlet header of each
filter element. The ‘open’ end of each tube is connected by a rubber hose to a
compressed air valve; the closed end is flattened and crimped, and is secured
by a bolt and nut.
Valves (Figs. 1 and 14)
The compressed air is supplied to each jet tube via a diaphragm valve, the opening
and closing of which is controlled by a solenoid-operated pilot valve connected to
the diaphragm vent by a flexible nylon tube. The solenoid valves are energised
sequentially by electrical pulses generated by the controller.
Compressed air distribution manifold (Fig. 1)
The manifold is fabricated from 180sq x 8 mm thick steel tube, with welded ends.
Holes are provided for diaphragm valves, drain plug, pressure relief valve and
air inlet moisture separator connections. (Moisture separator and pressure relief
valve are not supplied as standard with the collector).
The manifold supplied with the DCE 2000 Series dust collector has been
independently approved to operate under the conditions as specified in
Table 6.
