When the reading is incorrect
Correct the reading using katakana (single-byte
for “Phone” and double-byte for “UIM”), single-
byte alphabet, numbers and symbols.
You can store up to 32 single-byte characters for
“Phone” and 12 double-byte or 25 single-byte
alphanumeric characters only (including some
single-byte symbols) for “UIM”.

Select any item:
Select group …… Selects a group number
among “Group 01-19” for “Phone” or among “Group
01-10” for “UIM”. If no group is selected, the entry is
automatically assigned to “No Group”.
Enter phone number …… Enters the phone
number.
• Also select an icon for “Phone”. You can enter up
to 26 digits for the phone number. Once you have
stored the first phone number, the “
<Not
stored>” option appears on the Phonebook edit
screen. Select this option to store an additional
phone number.
• You can enter 20 digits for a blue FOMA card
(UIM), and 26 digits for a green/white FOMA card
(UIM).
Edit mail address …… Enters the e-mail
address. You can enter up to 50 single-byte
alphabet, numbers and symbols.
Also select an icon for “Phone”. Once you have
stored the first e-mail address, the “
<Not
stored>” option appears on the Phonebook edit
screen. Select this option to store an additional
e-mail address.
Edit ZIP code ・ Enter address …… Enters the
ZIP code and street address. Enter the 7 single-byte
numbers for ZIP codes. You can enter up to 50
double-byte or 100 single-byte kanji characters,
hiragana, katakana, alphabet, numbers and
pictographs.
Enter birthday …… Store birthdays and
reminder for birthdays, and press
t
.
Enter birthday …… Enters the contact’s
birthday (year, month and day). Any year from
1800 to 2099 can be set.
Reminder …… Selects checkbox for the day by
which to notify a birthday (1 week before, 3
days before, the day before, the day of). When
it turns 0:00 on the date registered here, a
desktop icon appears on the display.

Edit memorandums …… Enters a memo (short
note). You can enter up to 100 double-byte or 200
single-byte characters which include kanji
characters, hiragana, katakana, alphabet, numbers
and pictographs.
Set image …… Shoots or selects the image
displayed when you receive a call from the contact.
Select Chara-den …… Selects the “Chara-den”
character displayed as the substitute image for
videophone calls.
Enter memory No. …… Memory numbers are
automatically

assigned when an entry is stored in
the phonebook, but can be changed to any number
between 000 and 999.
* : Assigned to the available number between 010 to
999 from the smallest number. If no number is
available from 010 to 999, it is assigned to the
available number between 000 to 009.

z Phonebook entries stored using symbols or
pictographs may not be displayed correctly when data
are transferred by the infrared communication, etc.
z Enter the correct domain when storing e-mail
addresses. The domain is the part of the address that
follows the “@” symbol.
However, if the contact’s e-mail address is in the
“[phone number]@docomo.ne.jp” format, store just the
phone number as the e-mail address.
z Phonebook 2in1 setting is set in “2in1 setting”. The
setting of “Phonebook 2in1 setting” (
/ / ) is
displayed on the Phonebook list screen or Phonebook
detail screen when 2in1 mode is in Dual mode.
However, when attaching the phonebook to a mail or
copying it to the UIM phonebook, Phonebook 2in1
setting is not to be sent.
<Enter birthday (Reminder)>
z Reminder is not given for phonebooks stored as
secret data.
z Reminder is not given for phonebooks other than
those with Restrict dialing set.
