Osaifu-Keitai

Osaifu-Keitai is a function allowing you to also 
transmit points and tickets into your FOMA terminal 
as well as cash. You have an IC card built into your 
FOMA terminal, and you can make a payment by 
holding your FOMA terminal over a reader/writer unit 
such as in a store.
You can even transmit electronic cash into your 
Osaifu-Keitai or check the balance or transaction 
history. The robust security

 also lets you use it 

safely.
For details on Osaifu-Keitai, refer to “Mobile Phone 
User’s Guide [i-mode] FOMA version”.

• Due to malfunction of the FOMA terminal, data on 

the IC card (including electronic money and points) 
may be erased or altered (NTT DOCOMO cannot 
receive a FOMA terminal for repair with data. You 
will be asked to erase data by yourself). Check with 
the provider of your Osaifu-Keitai service for 
support such as reissue or restoration of data, 
temporary handling, or transferring data, use the 
backup service except when transferring data using 
iC transfer service. For important data, make sure 
to use a service that provides backup service.

• Under no circumstances, including malfunction or 

model change, shall NTT DOCOMO be held liable 
for any loss of or damage to data stored on the IC 
card, or for any loss concerned with Osaifu-Keitai 
service

• If your FOMA terminal is lost or stolen, immediately 

contact the provider of the Osaifu-Keitai service to 
inquire about steps to take. 

What is iC Transfer Service?

iC transfer service

 is a service that allows you to 

move all the Osaifu-Keitai IC card data

Osaifu-Keitai

 when replacing or repairing the 

Osaifu-Keitai.
Once you move the IC card data, you can start using 
the Osaifu-Keitai services once you download the 
Osaifu-Keitai i-

iC transfer service is available at a NTT DOCOMO 
shop or service counter.

For details, refer to “Mobile Phone User’s Guide 
[i-mode] FOMA version”. 

*1: Both the originating and destination FOMA terminals 

must be iC transfer service-compatible. Visit a NTT 
DOCOMO shop or service counter when using this 
service.

*2: Some Osaifu-Keitai services are not supported by iC 

transfer service. Only data in an IC card for Osaifu-Keitai-
compatible services compatible with iC transfer service 
can be transferred. 

*3: Data is “transferred” and not “copied” with this service; 

data in the IC card does not remain in the originating 
FOMA terminal. If you are not able to use iC transfer 
service, you should use the backup serivce provided by 
an Osaifu-Keitai-compatible service.

Launching Osaifu-Keitai

You can launch the Osaifu-Keitai i-

ppli from the 

software list screen. You can use the Osaifu-Keitai 
i-

α

ppli to read and write the data in the IC card to use 

useful functions such as charging electronic money, 
or browsing the balance and transaction history on 
the FOMA terminal.

Take great care not to disclose your security code 
and passwords of each service to others. 

z

The reading/writing of the data from the software to 
the IC card is interrupted in the following cases. In 
this case, the read/written data is discarded. The 
operation after the call varies depending on the 
service.

first time or when downloading the Osaifu-Keitai

inserted. 
If you use another FOMA card (UIM), you cannot 
use the IC card functions unless you delete (Reset
