Functional differences between the UIM types
There are 2 types of the UIM: green and blue. The functions differ depending on the type as shown below:
Attaching/removing the battery pack

Turn the power off before attaching or removing the battery pack. Also, attach or remove it with FOMA
terminal closed using both hands.

Be careful not to touch the camera lens.
･
Use the specified battery pack D05.

WORLD WING
WORLD WING is the DoCoMo FOMA international roaming service. By taking out the UIM (green) from the
FOMA terminal you normally use and inserting it into a FOMA terminal supporting the service or an overseas
mobile phone (W-CDMA or GSM handset), you can make/receive calls in foreign countries with your own
mobile phone number.
You can use WORLD WING without subscription.
● If you subscribed to the FOMA service before August 31, 2005 but have not subscribed to WORLD WING,
a separate subscription is required to use WORLD WING.
● This service cannot be used with some billing plans.
● If you lose the UIM (green) or have it stolen overseas, contact DoCoMo immediately to have the card
suspended. For contact information, refer to “General Inquiries” on the back of this manual. Note that any
call or communication charges incurred after the UIM is stolen will be borne by the customer.
Attaching the battery pack

Remove the rear cover.
While pressing the top of the rear cover with your
thumb, slide it in the direction of the arrow and remove
the rear cover.
