6.3.4.3. Operating mode pulse control
No specific settings can be changed in the Settings menu within the operating mode Pulse control,
since the FP 250/400 OLED is integrated into a control system (PLC) and is commanded and
controlled via the PLC, see Chap. 8. Only the operating mode and the cartridge size can be set here,
see Chap. 6.3.4.
Any other control signals can only be sent by the PLC.
In the pulse control operating mode, the FP 250/400 OLED must be integrated into a control system
(PLC) and commanded and controlled via this. In this case, a lubrication stroke/several lubrication
strokes (one stroke = 0.15 cm³) is/are triggered at the FP 250/400 OLED depending on signals from
the external control (PLC).
Make sure that your PLC program is applicable to your application and that the lubrication point is
supplied with the correct amount of lubricant per time unit.
If this is the case, you can operate the FP 250/400 OLED in pulse control mode.
If this is
not
the case, modify your PLC program accordingly.
To use the FP 250/400 OLED, it must first be properly mounted and installed and then switched on.
Mounting is very simple and described in detail in Chap. 5; switching on is described in Chap. 6.3.1.
DANGER
Machine elements that are not lubricated can cause failures resulting in
serious injury or death.
After sending a control signal, the response signal of the FP 250/400 OLED
must be waited for, evaluated and interpreted in order to prevent an uncontrolled
failure of the FP 250/400 OLED.
