Verifying System Configuration
set and show
The
set
command sets or modifies the value of an environment
variable. The
show
command displays the results of the
set
command. Environment variables are typically set when you
are configuring a system. They are used to pass configuration
information between the console firmware and operating system.
Synopsis:
set [-default] [-integer] -[string] envar value
show envar
Arguments:
envar
The name of the environment variable to be
modified.
value
The value that is assigned to the environment
variable. This may be an ASCII string.
Options:
-default
Restores variable to its default value.
-integer
Creates variable as an integer.
-string
Creates variable as a string (default).
Examples:
P00>>> set bootdef_dev dka0
P00>>> show bootdef_dev
dka0
P00>>> show auto_action
boot
P00>>> set boot_osflags 0,1
