Optional USB 3.0 module
An additional USB 3.0 port can be added to the front of the system. The USB 3.0 module cable connects to the internal USB port on the
system board. The default internal USB port is available under the expansion riser 2.
The internal USB memory key is supported only in the 8 x 2.5 inch hard-drive configuration.
Removing the USB 3.0 module
Prerequisites
1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in Safety instructions .
2. Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system .
3. Remove the front bezel .
4. Remove the support bar .
5. Remove the air shrouds .
6. Remove the cooling fan assembly .
Steps
1. Disconnect the cables from the system board.
2. Using a Phillips #2 screwdriver, loosen the screw on the USB 3.0 module.

NOTE: Observe the routing of the cable as you remove it from the system. Route the cable properly when you
replace it to prevent the cable from being pinched or crimped.
