Chapter 2: Installing the
Hardware Components
This
chapter
provides
step
‐
by
‐
step
instructions
for
installing
physical
components,
power
cords,
and
cables
of
the
SR200
&
SR300
card
printers
and
optional
LM200
&
LM300
laminators.
Installing the Components
Use
the
following
procedures
to
connect
the
optional
laminator
to
the
card
printer,
and
to
install
the
card
hopper
and
the
card
stacker
to
the
printer
or
laminator.
Connecting the Laminator
Use
the
provided
joining
plate
to
connect
the
laminator
(if
used)
to
the
card
printer.
1.
Place
the
printer
on
the
work
surface
with
the
joining
plate
attached.
2.
Mount
the
laminator
over
the
holes
on
the
joining
plate.
The
infrared
ports
on
the
printer
and
laminator
must
be
aligned
for
the
laminator
to
work.
Make sure to install both units on a secure, level surface. Make sure the laminator and the
printer fit securely into the joining plate holes.
Caution:
Make
sure
that
the
power
switch
is
turned
off
and
the
power
cord
is
detached
from
the
receptacle
before
connecting
or
disconnecting
the
laminator.
Otherwise,
electric
shock,
fire,
or
malfunction
of
the
product
might
occur.
