TROUBLE SHOOTING

MESSAGE/ISSUE
POSSIBLE CAUSE
REMEDY
The coffee
was delivered
too quickly.
• The coffee is ground
too coarse.
• Turn the grinder adjustment knob
(A6) one click, anticlockwise towards
the small symbol while the coffee
mill is in operation. See section on
adjusting the coffee mill.
Coffee will
not come out
of spouts.
• The spouts are blocked.
• Use an “arts and craft” style pipe
cleaner to clean inside the spouts.
Water comes out
of the spouts
instead of coffee
(when using pre-
ground coffee).
• The pre-ground coffee
may be blocked inside
the funnel.
• Clean the machine
unclog the blockage.
Insufficient froth is
produced when the
milk is frothed or
milk sprays out of
the foam frother.
• The frothing unit is dirty
• Clean the frothing unit, see chapter
in cleaning and maintenance.
• Dismantle and rinse the frothing
unit – see section in cleaning and
maintenance.
Little or no water
or steam comes out
of the frothing unit.
The pump is
very quiet.
• The connector of the
frother may be blocked by
milk residues or lime scale
fragments loosed during
descaling.
• Clean the frother thoroughly, soak in
milk cleaning solution if necessary
– see section in cleaning and
maintenance.
• Clean the milk frothing system with
milk cleaning solution – see the
section in cleaning and maintenance.
Grinder is making
a very loud noise.
• There are foreign objects
in the grinder – this can
sometimes happen when
high quality beans are
not used.
