Should it be required, the machine can be manually prompted to clean the brewing unit.
Proceed as follows:
1. Press B8 button to enter “menu”.
2. Press B8 button when you get to “information”, in menu.
3. Press B8 button next to enter “number of use”.
4. Press B8 button next to select “clean”
5. The machine will then display “clean brew”.
6. Press B8 button to select clean.
7. Press B8 button to start cleaning the infuser program.
8. Extract the drip tray and all waste water as well as grounds container,
empty and return back to machine.
9. Place a jug/small bowl under the coffee spouts.
10. The machine will then machine display “add tablet”.
11. Insert tablet into the pre-ground shute. Coffee machine cleaning tablets for fully automatic
coffee machines can be purchased from any major coffee machine retailer.
12. Press B8 button to commence the cleaning program, machine will then display “cleaning”.
13. When cleaning cycle is complete the machine will return back to “ready” state.
14. Empty drip tray and grounds container. Rinse away soap residue and replace.
CLEANING THE BEAN CONTAINER
Coffee beans may be covered with a slight oil film which remains on the walls of the bean
container. These traces may negatively affect the final result of your coffee. For this reason, it is
advisable to clean the bean container from time to time.
1. When the bean container is empty, turn off the machine at the switch.
2. Remove the lid off the beans container.
3. Clean the beans container with a soft dry cloth.
4. Re-fill with fresh beans, turn your machine back on, and use as normal.
CLEANING THE MILK FROTHING SYSTEM AND FROTHING/STEAM NOZZLE
In the interest of hygiene and to allow the milk frother/steam unit and milk pipe to work properly,
it must be dismantled and washed after every use.
• Remove the milk pipe and rinse under running water, if necessary, an “arts & craft” pipe
cleanser can be used to clean the inside of the tube.
• Dismantle the milk frother/steamer, into individual parts, and rinse them under running
water. If there is dried milk on any of the parts, wash in a solution of 250ml cold water and
1 cap of milk cleaning solution (milk cleaning solution can be purchased from any major
coffee machine retailer). Rinse thoroughly before re-assembling.
