TROUBLE SHOOTING
DISPLAYED
MESSAGE/ISSUE
POSSIBLE CAUSE
REMEDY
Fill water
• The water tank is empty.
• The water tank is
positioned incorrectly.
• Fill the water tank and/or insert it
correctly, pushing it down as far
as it will go.
• Descale the machine
– see section on descaling.
Fault 3
• The grinder is too fine
and the coffee is delivered
too slowly.
• The machine won’t make
coffee, there is air in the
hydraulic circuit.
• Turn the grinding adjustment knob
one click, clockwise towards the
big symbol while the coffee mill
is in operation.
• Running “self-check” program and
can repair the machine.
Empty grounds
• The total number of
coffees made has reached
a maximum of 15.
• Extract the drip tray and empty the
grounds container and clean.
Return into original position.
• NB: when removing the drip tray the
grounds container MUST be emptied,
even if it is not completely full.
Tray missing
• The tray has not been
inserted into the
machine correctly.
• Remove the tray,
and reinsert correctly.
Fill powder
• The “pre-ground coffee”
function has been selected
with out placing any pre-
ground coffee in the funnel.
• Use the supplied coffee spoon
and insert pre-ground coffee into
the funnel.
Decalcify ready
• The machine is ready
to be descaled.
• Follow the section on the
manual on descaling, preform as
soon as possible.
Fill beans
• The coffee beans
have run out.
• Re-fill the bean container.
